Standard 1.1a

The RTO must keep written policies and procedures for ensuring quality training and assessment consistent with its scope of registration and scale of operations

Commentary

Examples of evidence for an
online learning environment

Policies and procedures encompass online learning

Policies and procedures for ensuring quality training and assessment consistent with scope and scale of operations take account of the online learning context.

Online learning arrangements might impact on a range of organisational policy and planning areas, for example: risk management, access and equity, staff recruitment, induction and ongoing development and capabilities for online delivery and assessment.

The RTO web site menu bar and navigation systems indicate where information about the RTO's policies and procedures are available.

Examples of evidence might include:

  • A web site map for the RTO (useful in demonstrating location of information and functions on the web site)
  • Downloaded copies of the web pages for the RTO's policies and procedures
  • Web site addresses for example the URL for the RTO and relevant web pages for information and learning activities
  • 'Guest' access logon supplied where required for access to pages
