Projects: VET Policy Advice

About

The 2002 VET Policy Advice project conducted six pocket research projects, each managed by one of the participating states and territory. Topics selected are of particular relevance to the participating jurisdictions and focus on policy issues with local implications and potential national applicability. The VET Policy Advice 2002 project followed on from the 2001 and 2000 policy projects.

Project 2002 goals:

  • Increase participation of States and Territories across Australia and enhance potential for collaboration,
  • Build on the work of VET Policy Advice 2001 in linking global VET issues to national policy issues impacting on the identified VET communities or issues within participating States and Territories,
  • Examine policy issues identified by participating States and Territories as having significant benefit or impact upon implementation of flexible learning in their VET communities,
  • Develop from the research carried out by States and Territories possible models for use by RTOs and STAs nationally for the implementation of flexible learning,
  • Identify policy trends emerging from the research projects and implications for policy development and implementation within the national VET sector,
  • Provide advice on the impacts, both positive and negative, of policy related to flexible learning, on the communities investigated, potentially for ANTA CEOs.

Visit the VET Policy Advice project website for the latest information on the Pocket Projects.
