Researchers: Backroad Connections Pty Ltd
This paper is available in PDF (349Kb) and Word (358Kb) formats.
This brief arose from discussions at the FLAG meeting of 9/10 April 2003 and identified opportunities for FLAG to connect more broadly with initiatives within Commonwealth agencies. It was intended that the outcomes of this research would inform FLAG planning for 2004 and provide advice to the VET sector of key linkages and complementary projects/initiatives/committees.
The project also provided a map of key ANTA, DEST and other Commonwealth bodies and the projects and initiatives within their jurisdictions that are related to Information and Communication Technology [ICT] that have a focus in education and/or flexible learning. Although not excluded, this project did not focus on State and Territory agencies.
The mapping identified and briefly described the major projects/initiatives and their key areas of interest which relate to the major goals of the Framework.
In addition it was intended that the research paper would:
- identify projects
- where greater impact could be achieved by working together
- that could be better integrated or linked to Framework projects
- where the Framework initiatives could be referred for future action
- identify key initiatives/agencies
- make recommendations on future linkages and strategies and prioritise these with supporting rationale for the prioritisation
