This project began with the real issue of
new staff being required to know about the Vocational Education
and Training (VET) sector and their role within it and having
no current methodology to engage them in the learning.
This New Practices in Flexible Learning project allowed
the project team to explore the use of games-based methodology
in an online environment to support compliance training in
a professional development context. This project involved
the development, trial and evaluation of eGames for use within
staff induction programs. It was essential that the final
suite of eGames be engaging, easily accessible and able to
accommodate diversity in learning styles.
A website was developed to host the eGames, self assessment
tools and gain an understanding of the project concept.
