Projects: NET*Working 2003

About
NET*Working 2003

The NET*Working 2003 conference continued the program of annual NET*Working events to present the latest flexible learning innovations in the vocational education and training sector.

It attracted government and industry representatives to a program of high profile local and international speakers, panel forums and practical demonstrations of online learning from across Australia. It took place from between October 22 and 24 at the Leura, Blue Mountains, NSW.

Objectives

Specific outcomes from NET*Working 2003 included:

  • Building a critical mass of VET staff, both policy makers and practitioners, who are informed of the latest developments in the pedagogical, technical and managerial aspects of flexible learning technologies
  • Showcasing the best current applications of online technology in VET and encouraging collaborative partnerships
  • Stimulating further investment into research and development of price competitive innovative technologies
  • Providing a structured opportunity for practitioners and policy makers to review progress and directions of on-line learning technologies
  • Promoting the use of national conferences such as NET*Working 2003 as professional development forums to enable business networking.
