Projects: New Practices in Flexible Learning 2004
|
In 2004, New Practices in Flexible Learning funded
projects to produce systems, processes and practices that
will have lasting benefit to the national VET system and provide
models able to be replicated by VET organisations across Australia.
The program continued with its focus on projects providing learner/client
centred solutions while continuing to aim at raising benchmarks
for new practice.

The New Practices in Flexible Learning program priorities
for 2004 supported a number of 2004 Framework Priorities
with a focus on implementing innovation practices as follows:
- Stronger collaboration between industries, communities
and VET providers
- Increasing the application of flexible learning to Indigenous
communities and in rural and remote communities and,
- Increasing the innovative use of flexible learning in
workplaces.

Ten New Practices in Flexible Learning projects were funded
for 2004. These projects cover a range of focus areas and have been developed by project teams in the following States and Territories:
Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western
Australia.

The project resources from the all the New Practices in Flexible Learning projects undertaken during 2003 and 2004, as well as additional video footage, sound and images, have been developed into two multimedia resources of 'new practices' . These CD-ROMs can be ordered through your local Framework communication officer.
