Projects: International e-Vet 2001 Market Research

About

International e-VET 2001 Market Research project outcomes provided a basis for business planning, enabling VET providers of online products and services to identify target export markets, understand international customers' needs and develop integrated approaches to marketing and satisfying customer needs.

The objectives of the project were to:

  • Undertake and disseminate current and high quality market research pertaining to the export of Australian VET online products and services,
  • Provide marketing and business information, and advice to organisations interested in marketing Australian VET online services and products internationally.

The project also intended to encourage VET practitioners to take up a market-driven rather than supply-driven approach to the development of online products and services.

Background
A study was conducted in 2000 looking into the feasibility of a national VET Consortium to market, distribute and support Australian online products and services overseas. This study identified that Australian VET providers generally do not have enough information about international online markets and marketing tools to form an e-VET Consortium to market online training products and services.
