to Reality
Building Blocks to Reality is a series of innovative instructional
frameworks that help building and construction learners to build
a virtual 3D timber framed house using computer software. The learning
is based on an architectual 3D drawing package (archiCAD). Learners
use the Building Blocks to Reality frameworks in conjunction with
an architectural 3D drawing package (ArchiCAD) to construct the
following:
- subfloor
- timber walls
- hip and truss roof.
Learners refer to and incorporate real data into their drawings,
inputting timber sizing and spacing to the correct timber framing
standards required under the Australian Timber Framing Codes.
