Assessment Generator
WA/015 - West-One Services

Product Description

The web-based assessment generator makes it possible for training practitioners to efficiently assemble assessment plans and tools to assist them in meeting the requirements of the AQTF. This is achieved by providing a range of functionality including:

  • The ability to create and manage a repository of assessment plan and tool information that may be used across the organisation or in partnership with other registered training organisations (RTO) within the vet sector;

  • Assisting the RTO’s in the construction of assessment materials through the easy and intuitive manipulation of training product and assessment task information to suit assessment delivery requirements. This includes the management of product information from training package through to performance criteria if required and;

  • The incorporation of appropriate security and assessment plan/tool and validation features.

How this product can help you:

With the introduction of the AQTF there is a more rigorous compliance requirement for RTO’s with regard to assessment practices. The assessment generator will assist practitioners in assembling best practice assessment plans and assessment tools. The assessment generator provides the means through which VET staff may access and utilise pre-existing assessment information for use in VET delivery. This is achieved through the provision of a function rich assessment bank, search and selection tools and publishing facilities.
The assessment generator can deliver a range of benefits to the sector in relation to resource management and quality improvements. These include, but are not limited to:
  • Rationalisation of academic administration processes;

  • Increased consistency in assessment standards across the VET sector;

  • Reinforcement of assessment validity and reliability;

  • Access to a bank of validated assessment plans and tools; and

  • Overall improvements in the quality management of the assessment process.

The assessment generator can provide an open, transparent and flexible means by which the VET sector can enhance the administration of AQTF requirements and accepted industry standards.

“A valuable tool for full time and part time lecturers; a great way to share and validate assessment tools and plans.” Debra Dixon, Principal Lecturer, Midland College of TAFE.

We recommend the use and application of the Assessment Generator to the whole VET sector with an assurance that it will greatly assist both lecturers and administration staff in both servicing their clients and complying with the
