Discussion Topic 2:  Design principles for 21st century VET physical infrastructure

Abstract: 21st Century VET facilities will need to reflect the power dynamic of a student-centred pedagogical model. Students will demand an experience constructed of varying elements - accessible in a range of flexible modes. Information and Communication Technology will inevitably play an increasingly important role in allowing this flexibility and diversity to flourish.

In response to this challenge, Jamieson et al (2000) have suggested 7 Design Principles for the development of physical infrastructure in the Higher Education sector. Read the paper and contribute your views to the discussion conference.
