What is the 2005-2006 Australian Flexible Learning Framework?
|
The 2005-2006 Australian Flexible Learning Framework provides the vocational education and training (VET) system with e-learning skills, professional development opportunities, products, resources and support networks to meet today's increasingly technology-driven learning environment.
The 2005-2006 Framework is a two-year national strategy collaboratively funded by the Australian Government and all States and Territories at AUD$15 million annually. It builds on the work of the 2000-2004 Framework but also strikes out in some exciting new directions, including working to meet the e-learning needs of students and communities, business and industry, Indigenous learners and people with disabilities.
The 2006 Framework Business Plan provides information on activities planned for 2006.
The 2005 Framework Business Plan provides information on initiatives undertaken during that period.
There are 15 Projects located throughout Australia working as part of the 2005 Framework.

What
was the 2000-2004 Australian Flexible Learning Framework?
|
|
During its five years, the 2000-2004 Australian Flexible Learning Framework (Framework) provided direct funding and support to more than 20,000 vocational education and training (VET) practitioners and produced approximately 500 e-learning tools and more than 18,000 resources.
The Framework was established in 2000 to support the VET system to meet the rapidly increasing demand for flexible learning and e-learning from industry, enterprise and clients. The Framework was a five-year national strategy collaboratively funded by the Australian Government and all States and Territories to achieve a shared vision of a skilled Australian workforce. |
